What is concrete staining?
Concrete staining is the use of an acid stain to permanently color new or old concrete floors. When the stain comes in contact with the concrete, the acid begins a chemical reaction that creates the desired color. This color will not fade, chip or peel as it occurs with concrete paint and it lasts as long as the concrete lasts.
Where can I use concrete staining?
Concrete staining can be applied in residential and commercial locations, both indoors and outdoors. It will then be followed by the application of a top coating appropriate to the function of the building. We apply wax and acrylic sealer in residential projects. In commercial or industrial projects - which require more resistance to abrasion and wear - we apply epoxy, urethane or polyurethane.
How do they make concrete stained floors look like tile?

One of the various options available to the client is whether or not to score the concrete floor. Scoring is the act of cutting grooves into the floor using various blades and saws, and when completed, the floor looks like grouted tile or stone. The scoring can be done in different patterns depending on the room size and the client's wishes. The two pictures above are examples of scoring. The picture to the right has a scored border, accentuated by a darker stain, while the picture to the left is scored in a diamond pattern.
What colors can I use for my floor?
The base colors that are available for staining can be seen below. In addition, we can discuss several combinations and effects that can be created with the application of different colors and in different densities.
